What information SkillLink collects
- Information you give us when you sign up and build your profile.
- Project, application and message activity inside the app.
- KPay payment proof screenshots you upload.
- Basic device information used to deliver notifications.
Account information
- Your name, email address and account role.
- Login and verification records that keep your account secure.
Profile information
- Freelancers: full name, title, location, about text, categories and profile photo.
- Business Owners: business name, industry, location, phone number, description and logo.
Portfolio and social links
- Portfolio titles, descriptions, thumbnails and video links you add.
- Social or website links you choose to show on your profile.
Project and message data
- Project details, applications, proposals and prices.
- Messages inside project conversations, kept as a record of the agreement.
KPay payment proof screenshots
Payment screenshots are used only to verify a project payment. They are private. They are never shown publicly and are only visible to the people involved in that project and to SkillLink admin.
Notification data
- Your notification preferences.
- Device registration details needed to send push notifications, if you turn them on.
How data is used
- To run the marketplace: posting projects, applying, messaging and payments.
- To verify KPay payments and process payouts.
- To review reports, handle disputes and keep SkillLink safe.
- To send you notifications about your account activity.
How data is protected
- Access rules limit each record to the people who need it.
- Payment and payout records are restricted to the users involved and SkillLink admin.
- We never sell your personal information.
What information is visible publicly
- Your public profile: name, title, location, about text, categories, photo and portfolio.
- Reviews and ratings you receive.
- Leaderboard positions use rounded earnings ranges only, never exact amounts.
Private information
Payment proof screenshots and exact payout history are never public. Freelancers can see their own exact earnings and payout history. SkillLink admin can see payment and payout records for verification and dispute management.
User control over profile data
- You can edit or remove your profile details, photo and portfolio items at any time.
- You can turn notification types on or off in Account Settings.
- You can contact support to ask about your account data.
